Therefore encourage one another and build up each other...
1 Thessalonians 5:11
The Bible calls us to learn, grow, and encourage each other together in community. At First Church, you will find a wealth of opportunities to learn from experienced teachers and fellow Christians as we engage with God’s Word. From Sunday school classes to small group meetings during the week or evening guest lecture events, there’s always something going on at First Church to fit your schedule and life stage. Find dates, descriptions and times for our events here.
Sunday School
Especially if you’re new to adult discipleship programs at First Church, Sunday school classes are a great place to start. Our whole Church enjoys a unified Sunday school hour each week at 9:30 a.m., this means that Tulsans from all life stages can fellowship and learn together while children and youth receive age-appropriate programming as well. There are many Sunday school classes, some with special emphasis for young adults, parents, seniors, international Christians, and others. Stop by the welcome center on Sunday or contact the discipleship ministry assistant to learn more about our adult class offerings.
Weekday Offerings
Jesus challenges each and every one of us to participate in building the “Kingdom of God.” Growing together in love and understanding, not just on Sundays, but every day of the week. We invite you to explore the rich variety of groups and classes that meet at Church and around Tulsa. These opportunities include Bible study or may be structured around special topics or Christian literature or video series. Some classes meet before work hours or during lunch, and others include childcare. Certain classes and special series are seasonal (see the Church calendar) while others are made up of disciples who gather throughout the year.

Spiritual retreats
The Lord calls us time and time again to come and rest in the secret place with him. Our spiritual retreats are hosted once a semester by a pastor in order to create space to be in God's presence through worship, scripture meditation, prayer, reflection, sharing meals, and conversation.
