This Fall, K Groups (small groups) will be conducting a six-week study on “God Space: Where Spiritual Conversations Happen Naturally,” by Doug Pollock. Start thinking now of people you would enjoy meeting with for six-weeks to discuss how we can incorporate Jesus into our daily conversations with those me meet in a meaningful and effective way, or, sign up and we can try to find a group for you. We will work to accommodate in person or virtual groups this Fall starting the week of October 5th.
Fellowship sits at the heart of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Christian teaching about fellowship means that to believe is to belong. God calls in order to invite us into fellowship, into a relationship with his only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. And to be in fellowship with Jesus, the Bible makes clear, is to discover the joy of living in community with others who have made their way to the foot of the Cross. That’s the good news of the gospel!
Why small groups?
Small groups are designed to
- Come to know Jesus and share in his mission
- Find a place to belong
- Grow in your knowledge of Scripture
- Discover your gifts for service
- Strengthen First Church as an outpost of the kingdom
What is a small group?
Small groups are gatherings that meet throughout the year all around Tulsa, in homes, coffee shops, or at Church. Many are structured around people walking through life stages together — groups like young adults, parents, or seniors. Some groups meet year-round, while others come together for special seasonal studies like Lent. The group focus often follows sermon series curriculum, but can also feature Bible studies or book studies. Wherever you are in life, there is a small group for you!
