Fall 2020 Discipleship programming

As a Church we are encouraged to equip disciples of Jesus Christ. This fall, we encourage you to participate in one of our many groups who meet throughout the week. The classes are designed to help us better know Jesus Christ and grow stronger as a community of Faith. Children and Youth Classes
Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday School for all children (infant to grade four) reopened on August 23 and continues throughout the semester. All Pathfinder (grades five through eight) and Exodus (grades nine through 12) students are also meeting for Sunday School and fellowship each week. The Powerhouse opens at 9:20 a.m. on Sundays. We currently have Sunday School classes gathering and studying on site each week and others that are meeting via Zoom. These discipleship offerings are subject to change as the pandemic situation improves. Please check our web event calendar for updated information.

Pastor’s Study
Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m.
Stephenson Hall
This fall, Dr. Jim Miller will lead a four-week study of John Bunyan’s “The Pilgrim’s Progress.” This will be followed by a study of a C.S. Lewis favorite, “Mere Christianity.” Purchase your Wednesday lunch in advance by registering online.

Monday School
Mondays, 12:00 p.m., Kirkland Library
Dr. Arden Autry will continue his study on Revelation. This study provides an overview of the entire book, followed by examples of how Revelation has been interpreted in different eras of the Church. For more information, email Hannah Elliott. Optional lunch at 11:30 a.m.

Philippians - How to have joy in any circumstance. This study is led by Denise Rounds. There will be a workbook needed that can be purchased in the class. ____________________________________________________________________________

Downtown Theological Roundtable
Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m., Courtyard
The goal is to gather weekly and go in-depth with thoughtful discussion on the books important to our theological upbringings and heritage. We will be starting a new book for our fall meetings and it will be announced soon. Led by Rev. Dan Hutchinson and Phillip Bowman.

K Groups
Beginning Monday, October 5
Various days and times for each group
This fall, K Groups will be conducting a six-week study on “God Space: Where Spiritual Conversations Happen Naturally,” by Doug Pollock. Start thinking now of people you would enjoy meeting with for six-weeks to discuss how we can incorporate Jesus into our daily conversations with those me meet in a meaningful and effective way.
