Deacons' celebrate Christmas together with Anderson Elementary students

Good Tidings we bring to you and your kin … yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Church house. Poinsettias and wreaths will soon decorate the Sanctuary. And, in the Atrium, the Celebrating Christmas Together sign-up table will be available starting Sunday, November 21.

Join the First Church Board of Deacons as we move this ministry from Emerson Elementary to our new home. Let’s show Anderson Elementary our love and Christ’s love as we joyously celebrate His birth. Each sponsored student will receive a Bible, a board game, a story book, socks and a sweatshirt – all in a festive First Church bag.

Then, mark your calendar for Friday, December 17, as our congregation travels to Anderson Elementary to celebrate together. We’ll play games and join the Chancel Choir in some Christmas caroling. And, if you want to learn more about what building relationships looks like, ask us about First Church’s Lunch Buddy Program.
