Confirmation Confirmation will begin on Sunday, September 15th at 12:30 and end at 2:00 pm in room E201. This is for all freshmen and any other high school youth interested in exploring their faith. We will meet every Sunday afternoon and begin with lunch. Then Confirmation students will be engaged in a lesson and small group discussion with confirmation leaders about different aspects of our faith. Our hope is that each student will grow in their understanding of what they believe and confirm their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Each confirmand will be given the opportunity to answer six Statement of Faith questions near the end of confirmation. The Statement of Faith questions are meant to help each youth articulate what they personally believe and who Jesus Christ is in their life. The statement that each student crafts will be shared with the session for their examination to become members of First Presbyterian church, Tulsa. Any youth who want to become a member of First Presbyterian will meet with session on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, and then participate in their Commitment and Prayer service on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Confirmation Sunday will be May 4th, 2025. This is when the confirmands will be presented to the congregation as new members. The cost for confirmation is $40.00. This helps us cover the cost of food, materials, and the Bible each confirmation student will receive.
