Christmas Nativity 2023 - Registration is now closed! Join us for the Spring 2024 semester of the First Church Choristers. As we did last year, our children will be presenting excerpts from the Christmas musical called, "Light of the World," by Mark Patterson. This musical journey takes us from the prophecies of the Old Testament all the way to the visit of the Magi.
The Nativity is open to children aged 3 through high school. (Age/Grade as of Oct. 1, 2023.)
The registration deadline is Thursday, Nov. 2 @ 11:59 PM.
Rehearsals will be on Sundays at 9:00 AM, starting on Nov. 5. - Children aged 5 through 4th grade meet in the West Parlor. - Middle/high school students meet in the 3rd floor choir room. - Children aged 3-4 do not attend rehearsals until the week before Christmas Eve.
Children & youth who are currently enrolled in choir have already registered for the Nativity, and do not need to do a separate registration.
New this Year.... The Nativity is now part of children's and youth choir! Nativity rehearsals are happening during the First Church Choristers and Celebration Singers choir rehearsals, but children do not need to be enrolled in choir to participate. However, we hope your child will choose to join choir when the Nativity is done! The choirs will be presenting a spring musical in 2024!
TWO Performance Dates!! We are presenting the Nativity musical TWICE this year: on Wednesday, Dec. 20 @ 6:00 PM, and on Sunday, Dec. 24 @ the 5:00 PM Christmas Eve service. Families can opt into one or both dates, but preference for featured roles will be given to children who can do BOTH.

- Joseph
- Innkeeper (1)
- Shepherds (3)
- Wise Men (3)
- Bethlehem Stars (TBD) - 3 yr olds
Animals: - Donkey (1)
- Sheep (TBD) - PreK/4 yr olds
- Camels (3) - PreK+
Singing solos: Soloists will be selected from current members of the First Church Choristers and Celebration Singers choirs.
