"Family to Family" Class for Families of Individuals with Mental Illness

Mental illness not only affects the individual, but also their family and friends. Nearly 8.4 million people provide care for an adult with a mental illness. First Church is partnering with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to help provide answers to questions like..."where do I find help? How do I cope?" as well as the basics of mental illness, how to support the individual, what to do in a crisis, and self-care. These free, confidential classes will be held in the Bernsen Building on Mondays from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. starting on September 20th and running through November 8th. Registration is required, as classes fill quickly. Call the NAMI office at 918-587-6264.
